The current restriction on the sale and consumption of alcohol
after 10.30pm at F&B outlets will be lifted.

So, including KTVs, HFJs, Discos, Nightclubs ?

Exc. HDB coffeeshops?

Many Sinkies will get drunk, ejaculate, get Laped, car crash, CB and Karcheng poked until sore next week!

Only losers drink until unconscious.

The winners sip a cocktail, enjoy the conversations and the live band's music. Just a light buzz from the alcohol.

Alcohol makes people spit out truth, and makes the shy ones open up by removing their social inhibitions.

Clearly aimed at appeasing the expat community in my opinion. :cautious:

Let the good times flow again.

The insignificant nobody me do agree with your points. Sadly, there exists the few minority who causes mishaps & should be banned from alcohol if they cannot hold alcohol & engage in anti-social behavior, causing harm to oneself & society. May govts deal with a lighter hand than a broad sweep to ban or have time limits on the greater majority whom do behave responsibly with alcohol, to chill, to relax the over-worked minds of hardworking Singaporeans, & remove personal social inhibitions due to shyness..,

In order to help F&B establishments, as well as liquor trade survive, may they each be empowered to watch out for drunkards & social miscreants, to educate & warn them of the consequences, & call an established security hotline for assistance to deal with such delinquents male or female before they harm themselves & others whom had behaved responsibly.

Singapore touts itself as a 24/7 tourist attraction as well as a responsible nation with hardworking citizens working on day AND night shifts in trade & service sectors. Time limits on alcohol consumption will only restrict & deprive those hardworking citizens whom work on night shifts, from a chance to relax their minds with loved ones and friends responsibly, as well as touristy night spots for tourists whom have individual limited time to spend & experience life in Singapore in a more informal & relax manner.

Thus, so long as each - from individual to establishments behave responsibly & supported by security & legal apparatus, most whom are responsible will get to enjoy Singapore more, and miscreants dealt with STIFFER sentences to rehabilitate & correct their errors should they behave anti-socially & cause problems to others, the way we Spore dealt with drunk drivers thru breathalyzer tests & its consequences.

Being drunk IS NOT & CANNOT be a legal excuse for anti-social behavior, as education, warnings & psychological evidences had long been taught to all on the side effects of alcohol if one is incapable of responsibilities & sound mind after a couple of alcoholic drinks, a free choice to avoid such that they did not undertake & thus must face the consequences if harm to others had been evident.
