India hospitals are handling covid crisis badly with not enough oxygen tanks, medical face mask and PPE are not worn by all hospital staffs , family members are allowed to gather around covid patients and no proper social distancing!!

Since masks and social distancing don't actually make any difference it honestly does not matter. The vast majority of those who catch Covid either have no symptoms or symptoms that a very mild.

The panic is unnecessary. More Indians die from snake bites and TB annually.

Snake bites kill a million and TB kills more than 400,000 every single year.

Some quoted you or is it Indian Trump Modi?

You can say what you like. All I do is to refer to the data on a daily basis to see how things are going.

I personally feel the figures are overstated as I do not believe they have that many test kits to begin with...probably trying to milk sympathy for ppl to donate vaccine to them as their own astra zeneca proven not acceptable and usable globally...so once countries donte the rich elite politicians and higher caste will have access to it first while the poor continue to die and suffer

This is what happens in India during important exams. The situation in hospital will appear to be better managed.

There are always many opinions when come to tackling any issue. Like buying a refrigerator at home ... your wife prefer this brand and your in-law also have an opinion etc.

There are always people supporting immigration in Europe and some hard liners who opposed. Those people who supported the issue ... because it did not happen to them ... YET. Till the day when it affect their lives or livelihood ... I am sure they will be singing a different tune.

Covid-19 - again there are many opinions ... some says it is overblown while others adopt precaution approach etc. Because it doesn't affect us or those around us directly, many a times we have a carefree approach .... this is human reaction.

Darling....
You are comparing India with 1.4 billion population against
Cyprus (900k)
Uruguay (3.5mil)
Turkey (82mil)
Bahrain (1.6mil)

Along the same line, 500 cases in Singapore (5.5mil) is worse than 5000 cases in India (1.4bil), in relative to population?

What if I compare India against the top 10 most populous countries?
India seems to be a winner here.

1 Million dead? We may not like the Indians but that is ALOT of dead people :o-o:

It can also be considered as a "population control" measure. India got so many Ah Nehs that they are seen to be everywhere in the world...this may help to send some of those currently overseas back to India.

You need to normalise the figures otherwise the comparison is meaningless.

However if you want to compare numbers of the same order then all that is needed is to combine all of South America and all of Europe to make a comparision

Europe has a combined population of 740 million.

South America has a combined population of 440 million.

Here are the total cumulative figures :

As you can see India still has a long way to go before the number of cases surpasses the EU or South America despite India having more than double the population of both.

If you compare the cumulative confirmed deaths the delta is even larger. India is doing very well in comparison considering the fact that the overall population is more than twice as large.
