A Primary 6 schoolgirl who was allegedly from Sengkang Green Primary School, was found dead at the foot of a HDB block

She was alleged to have jumped from the 23rd floor of a HDB block at around 4am.

It was alleged that when the police came to knock on the deceased’s home, her parents were still sleeping.

A lot have to do with the parents...way busy working than weekend have time just pumped the kid with tuition and enrichment classes...also they are not very aware cos nowadays most perceived good schools have normal stream as close to 40% of the psle cohorts go into the normal stream, so just let the kid take his or her time when it comes to study...than after sec school have so many choices even scholarship...of course we leave it at another thread to talk about whether ceca are taking away jobs...

PSLE

During my time, I didn't even understand what PSLE was all about. Just sit for the exams and off we go to our respective secondary schools. And in secondary school, I just mugged for 5 solid weeks for O Levels and got the results I wanted. Didn't even know what the fuck was going on in class for 4 years. Basically was sleeping during every lesson or flipping through Playboy and Penthouse magazines under the table. After school, it's the amusement arcade playing Space Invaders or Galaxian, or go and sian chiobus. Where got time to study and do homework?
