There's no point in slogging long hours and burning weekends for pittance. Money and time are co-equal resources, in fact, time is more precious as you cannot 'earn' back time. When you are about to die, you won't think about money.

some ah sohs are very lonely, don’t know how to use time, and will rather spend time earning tikkum money while working, befriending, and gossiping with coworkers. if they are lucky a horny stud unker may find them attractive and seduce them for a quickie. can eat don’t waste.

As business owner we slog long hours and burn weekends and pay money to keep business alive and pay workers.

sympathize with you. very hard work. moreover with pandamic restrictions, one eatery owner i know cannot make enough from take-out alone to cover cost. he has not been paying rent for over 6.9 months. when rent moratorium is lifted months later he will have nothing much left from savings to pay off debt. may have to declare bankruptcy and shut down.

Yeah. It is tough. But it is an experience. And our kids work and they are earning some money and gaining experience working. Better than playing games at home and going shopping spending money.

Hopefully when covid is over our business can improve.

INCLUSIVE OF OVERTIME = 1ST WORK CUNTRY 3RD WORLD PAY

First time I heard OT is expected and no extra pay.

That's because the business owner's identity is wholly derived from his business. This is different from an employee who exchanges time for money, an arrangement of convenience.

An analogy would be raising your own children vs raising someone else's children.

The worst is last minute impromptu OT, and then even burning public holidays.

That's true.

But the employee does earn money. And the employee is more mobile. They can quit and switch to better paying jobs.

If they dont like it they can choose another job with better terms.

My sister and her husband said that SG is much better than Canada. Work is much less tough and pay is higher. Taxes are low. Much better Maslow self actualization too.

It is so good they decided to quite Canada and go back to SG.

So it goes to show that having no minimum wage laws and no OT pay laws is much better than having it.

Small income is better than zero income.
If nobody take the offer, the pay will have to go up! Market forces.

I think if nobody take offer they can apply to hire foreigner? Or am I wrong?

All their outlets are served by old and slow motion staff usually only 1 younger foreigner 'manager'.
