SPH is dead under PAP's paper general NYC. His business strategy for SPH is print media, property, students accommodation, aged care. These are saturated businesses. NYC has no new ideas. The only hopw is for OCBC and TH to take SPH private. It is on that premise that I am accumulating SPH. It is selling at 0.56 of NAVWell done to Kim’s lookalike. Is he planning another bloodletting ? Sumiko on the list ?
After Ng Yat Chung has given SPH the 'NOL treatment', he can move on to another job... SIA?
SPH should sell off its malls... its mall management is terrible anyway. Lendlease would have done a better job, and in my opinion, is far better in certain aspects than Capitalmalls.
I bought online and some products are crappy unlike what was shown.Brick and Mortar malls are shrinking everywhere in the world. In NZ the Warehouse group has seen a 30% surge in on line sales of their products and have decided to shut down 30% of their stores while boosting their on-line presence.
Malls cannot survive just as retail outlets. They have to become exciting destinations with a variety of activities other than just shopping. I doubt if many places in Singapore can rise to the challenge. Only a few will survive.
Always read up on products you want to buy, check reviews and ascertain trustworthiness and reliability of seller.I bought online and some products are crappy unlike what was shown.
did you lose your panties in keppel shares?SPH is in bad trouble. Its price is at an all time low. Will OCBC and TH take SPH private?
Time to buy SPH at $1.18
