两男子在神农架放生毒蛇，致当地村民被咬死

今年6月24日，红坪镇及国家公园桥洞沟境内出现大量毒蛇，并导致当地村民万某被毒蛇咬伤后医治无效死亡。相关消息通过网络迅速传播，谣言四起，在当地村民中引起了恐慌。林区党委政府要求由林区森林公安局牵头联合林区公安局、林区国家公园森林公安局组成专案组开展侦查。
在湖北省森林公安局的协调下，专案组先后赴广东、北京、吉林、山西等地开展案件侦查工作，行程达两万余公里，调查走访近百人，使该案成功告破。经查岳某、董某均是佛教信徒，迷信放生毒蛇可以获得福报，曾流窜至云南西双版纳和江西井冈山放生过毒蛇。
