External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said Sunday that wherever she goes, she's told that Non Resident Indians (NRIs) are hard working, good neighbours, and law-abiding citizens, ANI reported.

Swaraj, who was speaking at an event in Singapore, said this filled her with "immense pride," the news agency added.

Sushma Swaraj is in Singapore to inaugurate the Regional Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) of ASEAN countries.

Her trip to the island city is part of a three-nation visit - a part of New Delhi's efforts to hold bilateral interactions in various sectors with countries of the South East Asian region within the framework of India's Act East policy.

Wherever I have gone, I have been told a few things about Non Resident Indians - Indians are a good neighbor, Indians are hard working people, Indians are law abiding citizens. This fills me with immense pride: EAM Sushma Swaraj in Singapore

Swaraj added that India's increasing dominance and reputation on the world stage could be attributed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's personality.

"In whichever country he goes, he makes strong individual friendship in addition to establishing good relations between two countries," ANI quoted her as saying.

The increasing dominance & reputation of India in the world is because of the personality of Prime Minister Modi. In whichever country he goes, he makes strong individual friendship in addition to establishing good relations between two countries: EAM Sushma Swaraj in #Singapore

Show her the Little India Riot clip, please.

In Singapore, she'll be genuine news and our comments are fake news

Uh...who told her??? The ghost? or the por lum pars? I mean on diplomatic visits etc,,u expect those hypocrites to tell her the truth without being diplomatic,,,?? what drugs is she on? another Ah Neh BS

Quite true that! I am told the same as well. Ha ha ha

Of course hardworking.... hardworking in molest,rape,riot........ (too lazy to type the rest cos’ too long)..........

I have to admit the Indians are very hardworking. The problem is they work hard at doing evil rather than good like our Indian.... oops I mean Malay President.

Of course the Chinese are no better they just talk less when they go about committing their dastardly, lying, cheating deeds.

The Ang Mohs are the best. They are loving and caring and are committed to helping the world become a better place.

Chinks and ah nehs are generally hardworking, but they are greedy, conniving, and easily corrupt. Chinks like to gamble and ah nehs tend to drink too much (then beat their wives). m&ds generally don't care about commerce and enterprise. They are happy as long as they get to indulge in motorcycles, drugs and tent pitching at the beach.

Tony chat at it again.

Burmese are no better than angmoh both in Opium trade.

Pommies give up becos low profit whereas Burmese still at it even though they lose money.

" India’s tycoon Singh brothers took at least 5 billion rupees ($78 million) out of the publicly-traded hospital company they
control without board approval about a year ago
.............Fortis’s auditor, Deloitte Haskins & Sells LLP, refused to sign off on
the company’s second-quarter results until the funds were accounted for or returned,...............
Fortis announced Thursday that Malvinder Singh is resigning from his executive chairman role and Shivinder Singh is stepping
down as vice chairman. The brothers cited a court judgment relating to the sale of a drugmaker they previously controlled,
.................. efforts to address the issue with Fortis’s balance sheet come amid mounting legal and financial woes for the
Singhs...,......as their main holding company grapples with a debt load that stood at around $1.5 billion in its 2016 fiscal-year filing, and has already seen one default.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
the response from the Singhs raises more questions rather than offers answers for the market. “If they believe all is right and kosher, then why resign?” .................
The brothers are also facing a lawsuit brought by New York-based private equity firm Siguler Guff & Co., which accused them of “siphoning” money out of another publicly-traded firm they control to help them manage their personal debts, according to documents filed with the Delhi High Court."

The BT on Jan 30, 2018 reported that the Religare brothers slapped with another suit but surprisingly did not link it to Singapore listed RHT Health Trust (RF1U) which is 27.32% owned by Fortis Healthcare Limited .
It also did not touch on how it will affect the sale of RHT Health Trust's assets to Fortis Healthcare (and the Feb 12 signing of master purchase agreement for Fortis to pay S$950 million).

This news is on top of the recent suspension of another S chips Midas Holdings due to news that it has uncovered several litigations, enforcement orders and court documents involving companies within the group.
So far the authorities here been very quiet and you are talking about a place that claims to be a world class financial centre.
S chips and now I chips and in future CLOB 2 ?
Some people are "lucky" as they can live with losses of billions and chalk it up to long term investments but how about the man in the streets?
