STTA has decided to drop Feng TW from the SG Table Tennis Team and concentrate on depending on Singaporeans for the 2020 Olympics.

Well done, STTA and Ellen. Whether we will win medals or not is not as important as regaining our national pride

You are behind time , unglobalised ,way too inward looking and have a very narrow view on this matter. As long as they pledge to Singapore then they are fine and better than the Singaporeans here who are Singaporeans in name only but remain a threat to the country either by their lies or their stupidity.

Not legally cheating does not mean it is not morally cheating.

LHL thinks that gerrymandering and shifting goal posts legally is not cheating. But discerning Singaporeans know that shifting goalposts ius tantamount to cheating. Although we cant convict LHL in his court of law for shifting goal posts and gerrymandering, we have convicted him in our hearts. The Court of Public Opinion matters, not kangaroo's court.

A true leader knows not to morally cheat and not to be morally corrupt. Can you say that your PM, LHL, is not morally corrupt?

Look at Japan and S Korea. They dont need to cheat by buying PRC players to win medals. And I am sure these countries command the respect of other countries.

Singapore may win the Olympic Silver Medal by buying and fielding the PRC "B" Team. But what does such cheating bring us? Despise and divison. STTA realises it and is making amends. Will PAP realsie its bad policies and start making amends?

Compare the elation of Schoolings' medal and Table Tennis' Olympic medal. Let PAP learn from this

Many things are legal but not everything are moral.

It is legal for a girl to pose nude for her boss behind her hubby's back. But it is not moral for a girl to do that. So most girls dont do what's legal but not moral.

It is legal for STTA to buy the PRC "B" Team and send them to win medals for Singapore. But morally, it is wrong.

It is legal for the pap to import 1m cheap foreigners to displace Singaporeans at the work place. But is that moral? Only a rogue govt does that kind of things

Why is our standard low?

Because of STTA's past policies of focusing on foreign players, neglecting our true blue players and not coming out with programmes and training to nurture our young talented players.

Look at the schools...where is table tennis? what are the facilities?
