Re: Half Thai Tonychat, is now time to show that you have balls to protest in BKK now

Yup there's a certain time limit before you can either give or deduct reps from the post. This is to prevent people from digging up old posts and either giving reps or deducting reps from them. Rule was implemented some time ago.

Appreciate the info, although I come into this forum almost daily but I don't read most of the threads here and not aware there are so many rules. Thanks.

Thailand: military gives full-moon party go-ahead

The Thai military has agreed to let a full-moon party go ahead next week and is under pressure from tourism officials to lift the nightly curfew it imposed in other parts in the country

A nationwide curfew was imposed following a military coup on May 22. It initially took effect between 10pm to 5am but was later shortened to between midnight and 4am. It was lifted on Tuesday in three beach resorts that the military deemed peaceful and free from political protests - Phuket, Koh Samui and Pattaya.
Then on Friday the curfew was also lifted in Cha-am, Hua Hin, Krabi province & Phang Nga province. This means tourists on the islands of Koh Phi Phi and Koh Lanta, and on Railay beach on the mainland, will now be able to stay out all night.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand hopes that similar exemptions will be made in Chiang Mai, Hat Yai, Khao Lak and Koh Chang.
Koh Phangan, a Gulf Coast island adjacent to Koh Samui is currently still under a curfew, although a full-moon party set for June 12 on Haad Rin beach has been allowed to take place following a request from tourist officials. The curfew has been lifted on the days eitherside also - so from June 9 - 13.

Koh Phangan acting district chief Kasidet Thongchu was informed by the Surat Thani Army District that the party could be held as this monthly event had nothing to do with politics, demonstrations or activities...
