SINGAPORE: Residents living two to three floors above a coffeeshop at 59 Marine Terrace had to be evacuated on Friday morning when a fire broke out at one of the stalls.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was alerted to the fire at about 9am.

SCDF sent one fire engine, two red rhinos, two fire bikes and an ambulance to the location.

When they arrived, several stalls were already on fire.

The fire was extinguished by SCDF using two water jets.

A total of six food stalls were damaged by fire and soot.

No one was injured.

SCDF is investigating the incident.
