1. LKY has offended President Obama by calling him a flash-in-the-pan. What an insult. Now Obama is a two-term US President and he has not forgotten what LKY said. He planned to visit Malaysia and Vietnam and skip Singapore. That's a slap in the face for SG and many countries will take his cue.
2. LHL insulted China with his joke about pork soup and smoking during his speech in Washington. China's President Xi has not forgotten LHL's insult and skipped Singapore when he toured the region.
Many countries in SE Asia will follow Obama's and Xi's cue. Singapore's international stature has suffered much because of LHL's poor leadership and poor international standing
3. Indonesia's SBY has largely ignored LHL and even allowed his Minister to call SG childish.
4. LHL knows his poor stature and confessed that as a small country, SG should not speak too loudly. That's not true. SG used to punch way above its weight in the 1970s and 1980s. It's LHL's poor leadership that prevented SG from speaking out as no country listens to what LHL says.
5. SG is only able to work with Malaysia because of our hold on Najib. Once that hold is off or Najib goes, SG will be lonely and a pariah.
6. Even Myanmar doesn't look up to SG and ASSK asks SG to learn from Myanmar
7. LHL has divided SG socially
8. LHL has alienated Singaporeans from the foreigners
9. LHL has no idea how to make life better for Singaporeans
10. LHL's trump card to attract businesses into SG is to offer them cheap foreign labour. But this comes at the expense of Singaporean workers. This cheap labour inputs cant be sustained.
The sooner LHL goes, the better it is for SG. LHL thinks that he can leave at a time of his choice and he can choose the next PM. What audacity.
For the sake of SG, LHL must go
