Why people with minor injuries insist on clogging up A & E is beyond me.![]()

thank you for sharing your experience. Yes, it is a medical error. You can write to the hospital and file a complaint.
This is only one example. Sometimes, even the best surgeon can miss interpreting the xrays. Your point is well taken.
But again, it does not mean that the whole healthcare system is flawed. The er sees thousands of cases and missing one does not reflect badly on the department or the hospital. In usa, limbs are amputed wrongly. In world class usa and uk, breasts are removed wrongly. Eyes are operated wrongly. Medical mishaps happen everywhere in the world.
I still firmly believe that our medical healthcare system is still affordable and it is one of the best in the world.
If you could be more gentle and behaved in a more friendly manner, you could help to co-manage your fil with the er doctor. You are no doctor but you talked like one.you could make a clinical diagnosis of fracture without looking at the xrays. You should be sitting there instead of the er doctor. You screamed at the doctor.what sort of behaviour is this? You refused to take your fil home and you concluded you stomped out of the ae. So much contradictions.
Nothing to do with pap. Nothing to do with the government.nothing to do with kopi or kopishit or a spineless papshit. You can't even control your emotions and you can't even get your kopi correct. How can you be a good doctor? Look into the mirror and see the ugliness inside. Thank you for sharing. We all make mistakes. We are not infallible, even doctors are not infallible.

I suffered a small gash similar to that one when I fell off my bike many years ago. I popped into the nearest GP and he stitched it up for me and had me out the door in less than an hour.

......
some singaporeans just want to clog up the AE to save money
even if they have a cold they go to AE
...
A & E is not cheap, extra charges applied...cheaper to go GP...
please don't talk nonsense
my GP does everything
he treats many accidents - burns and lacerations
some singaporeans just want to clog up the AE to save money
even if they have a cold they go to AE
and some companies to accept MC from GPs
so many must go to AE.....the problem is not an easy one...
Not really, I had a stomach ulcer rupture, was throwing up blood, I have to wait in the ER in Long Beach ( forgot the hospital name) for nearly 6 hours, think year is 1980 or 81......:*:
Hospitalize for 1 week, single room ward, the bill came up to 10k plus, lucky for me insurance cover it....![]()
yes indeed 1980, american A&E is very good at that time, but it is 2013 now.
In 1986 they pass a law to provide care to anyone needing emergency healthcare regardless of citizenship, legal status or ability to pay. EMTALA and A&E in USA gone down the lokang since then.
An american fren told me that he was sent to the emergency ward n he had to pay as he was a yank. The illegals were there n they did not pay. He had to queue as per normal even though he paid and have health insurance. Such a stupid policy.no wonder right wing Nazis r on the rise.

Thats a small wound!
No vital structures in its vicinity.
It needs treatment but its certainly not an emergency.
Simple pressure on the wound would stop the bleeding.
Fainting ?? Come on!
Mostly likely stomper added it in for drama!
I remember having an operation on Xmas eve. While recovering in my room the wound started bleeding & I almost fainted. The nurses weren't initially concerned because it is normal to bleed after an operation. However the bleeding did not stop & I almost fainted. The nurses who were initially unconcerned became worried enough to page the doctor. I remember the doctor coming in all dressed upObviously he was out celebrating when he got paged. This was Xmas eve and in Canada the Xmas holidays is a serious holiday.
From my experience I know that bleeding can cause you to go into shock.
