On the flip side, I can somewhat empathize with those residents who had to put up with the noise from the kids. It's not a problem if they make noise during the daytime. However, I have witnessed some FT kids making a din at a playground near my place at 1am or 2am. A police car had even arrived to ask them to keep quiet.
Perhaps if the PAP govt hadn't imported these FTs and their brats, there wouldn't have been any problem in the first place. This is a self-inflicted problem.
Noises from the playground is not a new problem, had been around, since there were playground. In the past, HDB built fanciful ones, with hidden nooks & so forth, the students from the nearby schools will use them for smooching, canoodling & rubba rubba, people complain, my kids cannot play there. So they IMPROVED the playground with the current ones we see, now people complain, the kids are too noisy.
It is not the FT brats , they do not contribute to the problem, they help increase it. What is the solution?, educating the parents, the maids, & then passing that down to the kids. Kids will be kids, they were be boisterous, noisy, but teaching them to be mindful of others, would be the thing.
What does all these scholar do...the easy way out, ban playing...the simply have no idea...ban playing is blaming you for having kids that generate noises that disturb others...YOUR FAULT. These are the people running thins country, oh my gourd!:p
