You are too bleak in your assessment. Any party on the rise will face its fair share of setbacks. WP will have to expect that too.
Nothing unusual about that. But the fact is that there are many more people now willing to take up the good fight, and they should be supported.
Equally, let those who are weak and lacking discernment fall by the wayside. There is no loss to democracy or to the country there. In fact the continued existence of such buffoons and 3rd raters is an impediment to the progression of democracy.

Perhaps the difference you and I have is in the interpretation of who is deserving of support and who deserves to fall by the wayside. Otherwise I believe you and I share the same goal.

I will not persist in this exchange other than say this: the 2 parties in question have either implicitly or explicitly attacked the elected opposition, not just in S'pore but outside as well. There are consequences for that -- it is known as establishing a moral equivalence. In my opinion, they deserve to be run down here and elsewhere.
