Never heard of anybody getting an invitation for a PR after working here for a year. In fact, i have never heard of such practice or rule, especially with a timeline as stated by you. I believe there were such cases but they are certainly not the norm.

The only thing that's obvious to me is that you like to make up stories.

Have you heard of this - Malaysians received sinkapore scholarships for studies from undergraduate to Post-doctoral in top universities anywhere in the world. After completion of first degree, scholarship holder has to take up sinkapore citizenships (skip PR step).

FYI Peppertail its a norm way back in he 90s nearly every every Tom, Dick and Harry Matlasian Ching I know that is working as a tech in an elecronic company after working 1 to 3yrs depending on his income will receive a letter inviting him/her to be a PR. You know why I know this? Because most of these monkies can't read English if heir life depended on it and they came to me with the letter asking me whats it about.
