Though many old people still hanging around China Town and Tanjong Pagar areas, their ownership of the flat is questionable. I do not know the figures, only HDB could analyse.
In the past, we have seen Sinkies sold old flats in CBD at high price and moved out to CCK, YS, SBW, etc.
At work I find most Sinkies staff stayed outside CBD....
Then, most expatriates stayed in CBD?
We can see old HDB flats in CBD could be redeveloped into Condominiums, and would be sold to FTs.
Profits earned by those processes go to.... Just imagine!
