SINGAPORE: The government has introduced a slew of measures to help Singaporeans cope with the rising cost of living.

These measures include income tax rebates, extra GST Voucher and Service & Conservancy Charges rebates.

Taxpayers who are 60 years and above will enjoy a higher income tax rebate of 50 per cent, capped at S$1,500.

Those who are below 60 years old will get a rebate of 30 per cent, which is also capped at S$1,500.

This is not even new, remember the salary credit scheme that rebate employer for recruiting local. PAP do not have a brain for anything new. They just recycle "solution".

the new wage scheme is different i think ....
it benefits the employee instead of the employer..

The levy for foreign maids serving local dependants is actually coming down, from 170 to 120.

It should have doubled ...the revenue from that to be used to pay for more public daycare.
