Singapore Primary 1 Test Questions

Indeed, there needs to be public shaming in this case. To highlight the stupidity of the system.
Which school sets this stupid questions? There is need to publicly shame the school and tacher to warn them against setting ridiculous questions to torture students.

There is a big difference between stupid questions and tough questions.

My answer for question one would be "S" as it is the only letter that looks the same upside down as when upright. However, there could be so many interpretations that will make this question invalid.

Actually, on second thought, question one is a brilliant question if its not MCQ! Just look at the number of answers this forum alone generated for it!

My answer is "S". The others, their ends meeting somehow.

I dun understand what is the point of such question or what is it trying to prove

questions should be like this mah:

Father has:

(1) a dick
(2) a vagina
(3) none
(4) both dick and vagina.

hi there

1. this, i definitely know it.
2. for some local male dafter sheep: both, small prick & pus.
3. oops! ball-less too:D

I dun understand what is the point of such question or what is it trying to rove

I think nowadays they have a syllabus on Reasoning and Thinking Skills. The questions given and the child's answers are then assess to gauge each student's level. As we all know, they have a gifted program that will put the gifted student into a different class.

"Starting from 2007, Primary 4 students not in the Gifted Education Programme (GEP) who have demonstrated high ability in English and Mathematics, can benefit from more enriching lessons and provisions beyond the curriculum in these 2 subject areas.

GEP centres will also create more opportunities for GEP students to interact with their non-GEP schoolmates, in both the non-academic and academic curriculum.

GEP centres will also create more opportunities for GEP students to interact with their non-GEP schoolmates, in both the non-academic and academic curriculum.
Why are we doing this?

To provide high-ability students, who are not in the GEP, the opportunity to achieve as high a level as possible in their areas of talent.
To maximise opportunities for GEP students to interact with others so that they grow up with friends of different abilities and backgrounds."

For the Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), Singapore is (unofficially but clearly) increasingly going the kiasu route.

Compared to the standards of other countries today, as well as compared to Singapore's standards 10 years ago, Singapore is :

Using Uni level Phys/Chem/Bio questions in JC A level exams.
Using JC A level Phys/Chem/Bio questions in Sec sch O level exams.
Using Sec sch O level Phys/Chem/Bio questions in Pri sch exams.

This kiasuism is the reason why Singapore students are amongst the top countries in the world for Science.

And what do they use for Uni level? Post Grads? So what do they use for Post grads then?

Should be "S"? Singular and Plural?

Q1 is "G" "P" "S" "B" ??

I would answer "G"...

P is for penis
S is for sucking a penis
B is for Blowing...

All above 3 are related to man's organ, as for G is for G-spot.... is for woman

I have a primary one question for Christians ;) can a snake talk ? ;)

1) yes , of course
2) depends on what snake
3) of course not .. Idiot
4) I thought all snake can talk

Ambiguous. While it is true that "B" has reflectional symmetry, the letter "S" has rotational symmetry.

Who cares how do the letters looked in front of a mirror?

What is the application in real life?

Should have asked 'Which of the following letters sound different from the others'.

Ambiguity is not mentally challenging, it is retarded.

Not really. Ambiguity are weak signals. They could imply the future things to come.

Some people called them visions.
