She hopes to get married at the age of 30 and to start having children at 32.

But Miss Zoe Teh, 29, a graduate from the Singapore Management University, has been single for the past two years.

The owner of Thumbelina, a nail parlour in Bukit Timah, puts it down to the difficulty she faces meeting new people.

She plans to try a dating website soon, or join a dating agency.

"I find it difficult. Here, few men come up and chat to you. Even when I go for coffee, no one really bothers to say hello or be friendly," she said, comparing her experience in Australia where she lived for some time.

Even at parties here, she said, they do not make the first move to approach her.

"I thought of joining government dating agencies, but it's a bit taboo. I am very open about meeting new people, but it's not easy."

She said she broke up with her boyfriend of five years in 2010, after he did not pop the question.

The Christian goes to church regularly, but said she has grown up with her church group and treats them like family.

So what does she look for in a man? Someone who is attractive, stable, with a university degree and manages his finances well.

Her plea? More avenues where she can meet people. "Right now, even with free time I am not sure where to go to meet people."

In the first place, her clients are all females, and if there are males in the shop, they are either accompanying their wives or gay. Plus that , she is selfish and in secure. She always have that she deserve better. It fine to have that kind of mentality when you are single and young. But don't carry that kind of mentality across when married. It bad for you and hubby.

1. You can change to another model of car you like any time.
2. You just need to change car and need not maintain it.

1. If the car breaks down on you, you can park the car at the roadside and get someone to pick it up

I Don't Think It Is Comfortable

Chinese Christian weddings have the solemnization and a caterer buffet lunch at the church in the morning, then a traditional wedding dinner at a hotel/restaurant in the evening.

Some hardcore Christian couples will not serve alcoholic drinks during the evening wedding dinner. Quite silly to yam seng with tea and soft drinks. Unless I know the couple really well, I won't go to a non-alcohol wedding dinner. And if I go, they get a 'discount' from me in the ang pow money.

Christian weddings and buffets are very personalised type which non-believers will feel uncomfortable. It seems to be designed for their OWN fraternity ONLY and which may have an exclusive barrier for other believers (other family members). This is NOT good. Marriages should be a happy occasion for both side and NOT a one sided affair. Even I detest that. Be inclusive.
