Leonardo Da Vinci - painter, sculptor, architect, engineer, inventor... and he excels in all these fields. He is known as one of the most multi-talented person in history. PAP's brand of eliticism seems to assume a person's excellence in one field has no boundary - if he is a successful surgeon he makes a good politician; if he is a top military man he makes a good business leader in the GLCs.
Common sense seems to suggest otherwise. The job of a politician is to serve people. Does it appear to you a top lawyer or top surgeon from top law firms or top hospitals has the heart to serve people?
