PAP, look at what this PR Pundek from India will do to you once you're kicked out of power one day..

Hi,
Am Single male indian PR.
- 31 year old.
- Masters Degree from Indian university in IT.
- Salary ~10K in a bank's IT as senior software engg.
- PR since March 2010.
- In singapore since aug 2006.
- Have bought condo as property here.
I am going to apply in few weeks time. And probably will reapply after 2015 after PR renewal in case of rejection.
Whats the chances of Citizenship approvals right now?
I know of lot of lash back against indian PR applicants, how is the indians fairing for citizenship applications?
Thanks..

If you are to have any chance at all, wait until you have renewed your REP the first time, e.g., after you have been a PR for, say, six years. Then, if you haven't abused it by shuttling off to Aus, US OR Canada and try to come back just before it expires to renew again, you may have a chance, depending on what has happened in the country in the next four years. Another GE for one thing. And, if the PAP lose that, I don't even want to go there......

As have already booked appointment so will just try it out.
Will update on outcome.
If PAP losses,I won't want to be in Singapore anyway.
there seems to be lot of stress on companies due to immigration restrictions so probably its worth the rejection and wait for few more years anyway.
It might not be same Singapore in few years,Alas.

This is exactly the problem, you obviously seem to have NO long term commitment and want a citizenship as a convenience. I can never understand how people take citizenship as a convenience. Anyone looking to get a citizenship should be thinking much more wider than this and must NOT be saying I anyway won't be in Singapore if PAP loses. You can not be committing to a country conditionally.
I am sorry if I sound rude or anything on those lines.

Grow up. This is a global world, where people will choose what best suits them. Same way as county can take what suits them.
Why the heck would anyone take citizenship if not for convinience.
If you want to take it up for inconvinience go to AFrika.
