What is the actual fallout of all this?

I dun see anyone getting his head roll?

If it is local it is STRIKE...comrades, sit-in, Medical leave, social gathering, re-education discussion, 'siang liang, siang liang"...ha ha ha ha

If it is strike by Singaporean, the govt will be scolding and warning ALL Singaporeans not to strike (besides arresting the Singaporeans straight away). Strike by foreigner only don't dare to scold and warn ALL foreigners not to strike. Instead only dare to scold the company employing the foreigners for not managing them well.

SMRT issues are all over the place and over quite some time. The culture over the years must have gone negative. Even a future cabinet minister and an ex PS are struggling.

They fired or got rid of all the technical experts because of what they did not want to hear. More problems ahead. Some are far larger than has already happened. It is not too far off for more serious failures that will go into days.
Since people like to cover up with words of the reality, let reality show them and all around. It is not too far away.

They want things cheap and fast - something has to give. Cheap china parts without proper and regular inspections, no proper and tested backup plan.... now even the hiring of china workers without foreseeing that these backward country bumpkins will rebel

"ai pi, ai chi, ai tua nap ni"...:D

A scapegoat has to be found. But they have yet to decided an individual. This labor action has embarrassed the Sinkapore government in the eyes of China. You should be seeing a few ministerial visits to China soon to smooth relations up.

The PAP government became a Wall Street government when they moved up the value chain years ago. Just as in education, they tend to over-execute policies. Social services such as transport and postal should not have been privatized. The blind obsession with numbers, delivery of shareholder (i.e. the government and related entities) value led to a mindless profit driven objective. Cut costs, squeeze as much we can out of the system, original mission statements tossed aside, pandering to foreigners at the expense of pink IC holders. And they wonder where it all went wrong when they lose the support of Singaporeans.

SMRT is a terrible company. those in their top management will kena karma someday. including their ex-ceo.

Knock down by bus? Fatal crash with bus?
For SPH, with a face like that is karma enough....plastic surgery cannot help.

Support by SINGaporeans to them it is an eternal mandate given by heaven, for the 60% blind lemmings, will continue their eternal support until we are marched into oblivion. The true blue SINgaporeans are a dying breed, the extermination begun in 1984 after the recession created by you know who, who do not eat what we already know with Mee SIAM.

It is time we close rank & stand up as one people, one SINGAPORE! our flag , our Nation! regardless of race, language or religion or political affiliation.

PAP like to claim that Spore is run like a corporation but it's more like a small family business with all of the lazy & useless family relations getting $$$ for doing very little e.g. the golf playing short guy, the tai tai who likes, gambling,.... Many of them would have a hard time even getting a decent paying job if it wasn't for their family connections.

What's happening in Spore is just another example of a famiLee businesses failing. They say most family businesse don't make it past the 2nd generation.

Unfortunately when the business fails it's the employees(lesser mortals) who pay the highest price:rolleyes:

Without PAP, your mother, sister and daughter would have been exported as maids or prostitutes long time ago. Twit!

the whole smrt story sounds like one big conspiracy, just like in indonesia, wages of their locals are suppressed but are given 3 meals and lodgings for them and their families. one fine day, these indon natives will ask for more.

i think they should at least treat all equally and give fair bonus to all their bus drivers, regardless of nationality. frankly, the fire was initiated by the management.
