Truck driver arrested for fatal hit-and-run accident

By Lim Yi Han

18th Nov 2012

A TRUCK driver has been arrested for his involvement in a hit-and-run accident on Saturday, which resulted in the death of a cyclist.

The victim, 46, was cycling along the roundabout of Fort Road at about 6.45pm when he was hit by an unknown vehicle. He died from his injuries within 15 minutes.

The Traffic Police later found out that a tipper truck had driven near the scene around the time of the accident after interviews and enquiries.

The police mounted an operation to trace the tipper truck and its driver. The truck was found at Sungei Kadut within four hours of the accident, and the damages on
it matched the broken glass fragments found at the accident scene.

Think the driver forget hit liao must gostan again.

He rushed off to pick up a knife to finish off the road kill. But by time returned to scene, the victim was in hospital already. He then started to worry and decided to try to swim to Johor.

The "PRC" truck driver presumably displaced a sinkie from his truck-driving job, and thus was born another oppo supporter. :D

In the past, before Pinky & his gang open the flood gates, it would most likely be Malaysian drivers , followed by SINgaporean. Nowadays, most likely PRC...or the man from I.N.D.I.A.

Barstard driver. Drove off without assisting.

Yes,these bastards have to be blamed, but why are so many heavy vehicles with speed limits are speeding on the roads everyday? They seems to be condoned to do that, you can always see that if you are driving.Yesterday I saw 2 ah neh speeding with their lorries on the overtaking lanes?Nobody care, why should we?

Where in the report says PRC?

I thought I was the only one that could not find PRC in the report.

Can anyone point out where in the report says PRC?

I think TS made the deduction that all truck drivers and bus drivers are from PRC.

As a cyclist in Singapore, I had some close calls. It is dangerous out there on Singapore roads as we have lots of bad drivers.
