Haiz...I got caught by the traffic police a few months ago.

I was "speeding" at 60km/h in a quiet neighborhood road marked at 50km/h.

The police jumped out of nowhere. One minute I was rushing for time, the next, I saw a blue heeler walk calmly up to the middle of the road to wave me to the side.

"Good morning sir, traffic police, your vehicle has been monitored at 64km/h in a 50km/h road, you do know it's 50km/h in built-up areas, right?"

"uuhhh...(short pause), I'm sorry...I didn't notice the sign."

"May I see your license please?"

Hehe..i got similar experience. After 4 years never drive in sg (got rid of expensive civic) I went straight for a new bimmer in NSW which cost twice or more in Sg. On 2nd nite i drove around neighbourhood area and unknowlingly turned right in a no-right-turn sign junction. A police car shortly stopped me and check my acohol level and my newly converted NSW license. Luckily, he let me go without any fine and says 'no worries, mate, be more careful next time'. I was really lucky and I felt really good with the treatment I got.

No only that, these causes huge social problems to SG(esp. family)...Yes, time maybe tough in OZ but it's always wonderful to travel interstate to see the different parts of OZ ...anyway, why is it that always about things being expensive...that's quality of life! I always think that being singaporean we would like things to be cheap cheap cheap...mate, there's gonna be a price to pay for quality stuff...I'm not sure you can understand.
