I heard from my friend Mediacorp fired staff after the Ferrari accident.

The taxi driver who recorded the accident called the Mediacorp hotline but somehow was rejected.

It is not clear why he was rejected. He then went to the Chinese newspaper and Mediacorp lost out on the biggest talking point of the year other than the Hougang elections.

The CEO Shaun Seow was very angry and sent email to all the employees.

My friend said it is a case of "shoot one monkey, scare one hundred."

Is this Shaun Seow related to Francis Seow?

I will be surprised if the staff got fired. Not so easy to move staff out - they go through "due process", leaving a trail of your incompetence first.

i didn't realize that mediacorpse was so concerned with being the first to get the news. or with getting news for that matter...

Yes, that poor lady was just a part-timer. What happen is the taxi driver approached the mediacorpse radio station and told the lady recept that he got the accident footage. But how on earth can the radio station help him as they don't broadcast video footage? The lady took down his particular and promised to get back to him but it didn't happen. so the driver approached the chinese press and when the management came to know about it, she was sacked. Shuan Seow mass circulated an email to all staffs and told them that he was very disappointed with the incident as it was a betrayal of public trust in Mediacorpse. She should had refer the case to the TV side instead.

Shaun Seow is that squinty eye fuckface who used to be head of CNA.

Who did he take over at Mediacorp? Lucas Chow, a discarded relic from Singtel.

He did the right thing. How many times you go to a govt agency and get the bochap fuck up attitude? How many times you leave a message and no one gets back to you? This is a wake up call to all the deadwood out there. Better buck up.

Other than the imaginary OB markers, these media companies compete like dogs during mating seasons. During the fake milk scare, my friend tipped them telling that the ah tiong groceries in Geylang are still selling the tainted brands, they ran the scoop while NEA is still waiting for their orders. Too bad their radio stations run the news which nobody pays attention too. The taxi driver did the right thing going to the Chinese press instead.
