With an increasing number of foreigners coming here, the respective communities are beginning to exert their influence in Singapore to serve their own interests.
Filipinos are one of the largest communities in Singapore and it appears that a number of them are thinking of building a ‘second’ Philippines here, judging from some of the comments posted on the popular pinoysg forum.
In a discussion thread on the status of the pinoy community in Singapore, one Pinoy ‘FT’ called on his fellow countrymen to ‘mark as a strong race’ in Singapore whatever he means:
“…..like it or not, Singapore has become a home to most of our Kababayans. I think it is time for the Filipinos to mark as a strong race here in Singapore.”

Using the example of the newcomers from India, he added that he hope the Filipinos will be the next race to exert their influence in Singapore:
“Malays were the original race here but overthrown by strong Chinese community here then last year., the Indians were the most number of immigrants and look at their influence now in Singapore. Hope next race would be the Filipinos. We can build this nation here in Singapore.”
Meanwhile, Singapore leaders continue to exhort Singaporeans to make an extra effort to ‘integrate’ with the immigrants to make them welcomed, accepted and happy in Singapore even as they are harboring thoughts to ‘assimilate’ us instead.

A client called me today, he is a rich wealthy indonesian that stays in Surabaya, anyways here is the conversation between me and him

Indo (rich indonesian client)

Rick: Hello

Indo: Do you still have the emeralds, i might need some.

Rick: Yes, i do i can meet you to hand them over to you.

Indo: Great

Rick: I can hand them over to you this week near Orchard Road, if you want

Indo: I do not want to meet you at the second province of phillipines, the place is worse than Medan, i will not come to orchard road.

Rick: Okay, but i thought you have a property nearby there, thought it would be easy, no?

Indo: I sold the place away, i sometime got clients i bring to singapore for my business, but orchard road really sink down, now everywhere have filipino, the place like a slum and become low class, i cannot bring my clients there anymore, its an embarrasment to me. Reflects badly on me and my business.

The conversation continues but that is all irrelevant, only posted the relevant part

My thoughts were that he is right, the whole place in orchard road is going down the gutter, now this rich indonesia (who has links to Golkar) does not want to come to orchard road in singapore to meet me to collect his stuff but prefers another place because he now hates the place.

I hope those reading this better wise up because if the pinoys get too much the rich indonesians will leave and all we will have is retard pinoys.

We cannot bring in garbage from SEA, it serves no purpose and downgrades our economic development for the past 47 yrs, we are moving backwards not front.​

Is this indon a racist i wonder? Cos as you know in this fucking bloody wanking country only condemning the chinese is ok and there are chinese here including some here i bet that don't mind singapore being majority indian or filippino.

There is nothing wrong with being ambitious. Ambition is what drives progress in any society.

The problem with sinkies is that they aren't ambitious enough. That's why they're getting left behind.

What's the point of being ambitious in an environment created by the PAP that's stacked heavily, in fact totally, against the SMEs and ordinary S'poreans but absolutely in favor of the GLCs, the rich and foreigners. A most recent example of this is how the mainstream media came out to atone for the sins of the PRC driver of red Ferrari by singing praises of him. Even our forum host got in the act at another thread but he did a worse thing, by mocking the innocent lives that were lost at the reckless of a PRC which the PAP welcome with open arms and legs.

I did not mock the innocent lives lost. I mocked one individual and that was the taxi driver. I hate all taxi drivers regardless of where they are from and what sort of taxi they drive.

Take a look at what that pinoy wrote. Making filippinos a "strong race". What he means is to promote flip interests over the interests of the others in singapore. This is what foreigners and minorities in singapore have always been doing. Promoting ONLY their own interests in singapore. Kelings want political power. Why? To promote their own interests lah. Seriously have you ever heard of any of these ppl hoping for the good interests of ALL singaporeans? Nope. Never only chinese ppl do that.

What a load of bollocks. The Chinese are the most racist bunch on earth. Before the arrival of foreign talent, the behavior of the Singapore born Chinese was shocking. They published racist ads eg... "Malay driver wanted...." and placed all sorts of covert barriers when it came to hiring minorities. "Must be able to speak Mandarin and dialects" appeared regularly in job ads in order to keep Malays and Indians out of the game.

I was personally instructed NOT to hire any Malays and Indians when interviewing candidates for the vacancy of shift supervisor. "Malays are lazy and Indians can't be trusted" was the reason I was given.

I don't believe in the concept of Karma but I must say it's very satisfying to see the tables turned and for the Singapore Chinese to now get a large dose of their own medicine. The same bunch who used to discriminate against their fellow sinkies because of their skin colour are now the ones bleating away at being discriminated against by foreign managers who are calling the shots.

All I have say is "serves you right!!!!". Now you know how it is to be on the receiving end.

cguro like in the US which is now a very strong Filipino Community. Many influencial Filipinos now have helped fellow Filipinos in the States. Lately they have supported to put into power the first Filipino judge in the US Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye. Maybe we can do it here also in SG, as First breakthrough PinoySG as our main source of communication with each other and source of current events. Maybe next is how we define in more helping our kababayans which is less fortunate, or our kababayans having problems with their amo's and lately how we can help our kababayans that are facing legal matters against the SG gov't. If only the influencial Filipino People or Group here in SG unite help each other to promote better lives to our kababayans since our Govt doesnt do anything...

Maybe will happen. In 1992 3.2 million , 2003 4.2million and in 2012 5.4million.
Base on date SG birth rate doesn't increase but the population increase from 3.2 million to 5.4 million in 20 year.
There only one answer. More than half population not even SG Citizen living in SG.
Another 20 year add another 2 million FT population will be about 7 million and only 2 million is actual local born citizen.
By then only 30% are actual citizen. Is already happen and too late . Dont believe me ask minister to give info how many is SG citizen(pink IC not included PR) / Total population.
Answer would will be likely 2.5million SG pink IC/ 5.4million total population.

Filipinos are an ambitious lot. When I was in Manila I asked a businessman his long term plans & he told me it was to get into politics. LKY & Co probably see them as a source of cheap labour but I doubt LKY & Co would want to share power with them

Even if they overun the country, I doubt many are willing to make the ultimate sacrifice of doing NS Their ultimate goal is the same as all the other FTs to get to a first world nation.
