Please note that the Hougang By Election on the 26th May Will Be Very CLOSELY Monitored!Do warn you families, relatives and friends living in Hougang to vote wise and vote for the PAP! You would better vote wisely for the PAP or be ready to face the dire consequences of a WP victory!

In a statement on his Facebook page, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said the by-election will give Hougang residents the chance to elect a new MP to serve them.

He recalled that when news of Yaw's personal indiscretions surfaced in January, the WP first kept totally silent, then supported Yaw, and then three weeks later suddenly expelled him from the party.

"Until now the WP has not given Singa*poreans a full and proper account of what happened, or why it acted in this way. Mr Yaw himself has said nothing, either to explain or to apologise for his behaviour, and has reportedly left the country. Both the WP and Mr Yaw have let down all those who voted for him," he said.

Will Hougang offer a clue to whether PAP has learnt lessons from GE2011?

Healthcare cost is another ideological issue that needs to be taken off the policy holders' shelves, dusted and given a close and critical look. Just today, there is a letter in The Straits Times which tells the tale of an elderly patient who has to pay $1,200 for 90 tablets of a drug that he has to take for his postrate cancer. But generic versions of the drug are available at $160 for 100 tablets in accredited on-line pharmacies, the letter writer says.

You can expect more such real-life complaints to rise as an ageing society takes its toll on Singapore.

Soul-searching is also needed for Singapore's other policies like housing and immigration and whether they are trapped in the ideologies of the old. And whether these beliefs, though they have brought the country from marshland to metropolis, are still sustainable.

The starting point of this appraisal should be that every sacred cow can be scrutinised and slayed, if necessary.

I look forward to the day PAP is outlawed..... just as how Russia outlawed their Communist Party.....

Miracles do happen

WP and LTK never took responsibility and never apologised.

WP should have withdrawn from the by election if they have any sense of shame at all.
But no worries, the Hougang by-election will be CLOSELY monitored to make sure the voters will vote more wisely this time round!

Will Hougang choose a servant or a master of their parties?

Would the Hougang residents elect an MP to tell them that it is govt policy and they will have to live with it, vote for all govt policies and not against any? Or would they vote for a representative, their representative, to represent them, their views, their unhappiness, what they want done, in parliament? Do they want a govt that will decide everything for them in a ‘we know better’ and ‘it is good for you’. Or would they want a govt that will listen and make policies that the people want? Do they want to elect a master or a servant to serve them in parliament?

Just ran into Desmond "choo choo" train, he apoligize for his untrained cannie that is barking too loudly & said this closely monitored thing is a hogwash!

if peasants in Hougang vote for papaya first thing you 'll notice after erection
is the town council will out source carpark management, in papaya constitency
they are closely policed by car park wardens all out to summon motorists!
they want their money back as well as bonus and incentives!
my 2 cents worth!

No matter what happened vote for the opposite side!!!!

otherwise you 'll pay and pay!

i think wp will lose this time but still i will go support them at their rally.

pap's choo choo train gives me the impression that he is very opportunistic and not a sincere guy.

PAP will outlaw whoever first.

Whoever WP put up as candidate for the By Election, they had better screen his ECA records. Now that we know pimps keep detailed records of their patrons, WP must leave no stone unturned and not give the press, PAP or GMS another shot at WP, especially with the revelation of what is known as "Chiong Brigade".

Chiong Ah !!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Hougang - Historical statistical comparisons over the past 5 GEs

The Hougang residents are still awaiting a full account of the Yaw scandal from LTK. They have lost all faith with the Wayang Party and ready to vote for true gentleman like Desmond Choo!

No public holiday.

Since the number of voters for the Hougang is only 23,000, it is easier to closely monitor this election and should the WP win again, you can be sure those who voted for the Opposition will live to regret their unwise decision!

Let's give WP a break, it is not Yaw's fault that he has a dick like everyone of us.

It is human nature that you desire to stick your dick into a wet pussy, and there is nothing shy to say about it. If you study into the history of Roman Politicians, Senates, etc... their history is marred with sexcapades, and to the worst extent, fucking boys, etc... not saying that this is all healthy and such.

it is part of human nature that man want to procreate. Just too bad that Yaw did a lousy job in covering up his personal life.

Best of luck to WP, and I am quite sure WP will field a older and more experienced politician to comfort the loyal Hougang community towards a better Singapore. Keep up the good works clinton666.
