Summary of the whole story. At a time when PE looked like going to be a walkover, I introduced GMS and Locke to approach TKL to stand. Winning wasn't expected but just adverting another walkover with a good margin to send PAP a good message. TKL as an actuary, harbored no unrealistic expectation too. Of course, that was actuarial calculation behind the scene but in electoral politics, we all had to put a front as contesting to win to get as high a margin as possible.

Then in came TCB who announced that he wanted to stand too. Locke went over to the TCB camp. That was still alright, as a margin of 20 to 30% for TKL was still there since the bulk of the votes TCB was going to split away would be from TT. In fact, there was a high probability that TCB would win leaving TKL a good margin and a good pieces of cream pies on the faces TT and PAP. The whole scenario was disrupted when TJS was unexpectedly given a PE COE too.

The basic hard core no-need-campaigning 20% opposition votes would be split by TJS who had stood under SDP in GE. That's why he said TJS contesting was the "lowest point" in his life. I withdrew from a futile and meaningless campaign by then. GMS carried on with him. TKL as actuary knew that well in his heart. But he's also human and have feelings. He felt he was already in too deep to withdraw. The objective then became to score higher than TJS. He lost, and lost badly.

I did not know the details of this as I have not been active. hence, in a way, i would give you a round scolding for doing what you did.

Since Ramseth has already said he left the PE2011 campaign as there is no hope, why not leave that as it is. More important is the role that GMS played by encouraging Fatso 5% not to withdraw and putting his weight here in SBF and elsewhere in the internet arguing why Fatso 5% should be the man of our choice. I am sure if his past comments are pasted here, it will remove all doubt he is lost in the political arena.

Should any one give care what GMS says as evidently he screwed up the GE and the PE and the damaged incurred was very substantial. His personal opinions on the political scene is worthless given his track record.

You read my unmitigated, just summarized account, carefully. At the point of introducing GMS and Locke to persuade TKL, there were no other contestants and it was looking like another walkover. To be fair, even to GMS who stuck with it when cause was adjudged by me and Locke to be lost and meaningless, blaming people like us would mean less or even nobody daring to put in a word anymore. Let it be a PAP nominee walkover every PE, happy?

Sorry but no I am not he. To further explain my presence,

1. I am a long time visitor here as well as other sites.

2. Internet anonymity is useful in my case.

3. Taking a known moniker in this forum has it's desired effects i.e. my presence being noted and moniker recognised. Hence the advantage.

4. I don't have any agenda except to participate in this forum to learn and to share with my peers here.

Nicole Seah did the honourable thing by her declaration. It was GMS who forced her hand, because GMS abused her name in vain. Nicole has the right to clear the air and declare her intention not to contest. Furthermore, she is also honourable in saying that anyone who wishes to contest is undermining the 20 yrs of hard work LTK had built.

When she apologized on behalf of LKY to the Malay-Muslim community, I thought I was going to fall in love.

Not only you, me too. She is a new and promising breed. No doubt, she is not perfect and like any unpolished diamond, she needs more years of experience and polishing. Just when she was trying to build up her fortress in preparation for next GE, someone just threw her a pile of shit which I think she stood to her guts and responded well to defend with what she thinks was right, even though her tune was different from NSP's.

It struck me today if the non-decision to contest Hougang was a rift within NSP and Hazel was stuck, as SG, to announce the non-decision until the CEC meets. Signs are showing that the old guard wants a go, but the new former RP blood prefers to show respect.

A good party where there will enough resource to expand ur activity out of just Macpherson.

U can't win MP by just working against TPL is a small ward like Macpherson.

I am sure u know MP is huge, running from Marine Terrace all e way to NEX, thru Geylang Serai, Eunos, Aljunied, Joo Chiat, Bedok, Kembangan & Payar Lebar.

Worker's Party is already covering more grounds in MParade than u since after GE2011 with many grassroots activities on weekly basis & many walkabouts.

With NSP's limited activity in MParade that is just limited to ur tuition class that is low in visibility, and outreach, pls dun be offended if WP run against u & PAP come 2016.

It's sad to see NSP other MParade candidates like Ivan, Spencer, Abdul Salim & Chan disappearing complete, leaving u alone in Macpherson after GE.

I think it'll be good for u to quit NSP & consider joining WP, a party that will help u intensify ur work across MPrade to serve e residents & hopefully form a formidable, respectable, highly capable team in GE2016.

Personally I dun believe Hazel, Jeannette & NSP can bring u far.
The miscalculation of ur support for TJS during PE2011 says it all
