Xiaomi just announced the new Mi 4c smartphone in China, and it packs quite a punch on the specs front. On the SoC side we’ve got the Snapdragon 808 running the show, a processor recently seen in the highly touted Moto X Pure edition.

While the Moto X Pure is affordable at $399, the Mi 4c base model will check in at just 1,299 Chinese Yuan ($204)!

In addition to the high-end processor we also get a 5-inch Full HD display, 13MP camera (Sony IMX258/Samsung S5K3M2) around back with phase detection autofocus and two-tone flash, 5MP front camera, dual-SIM 4G, and a 3,080mAh battery with USB Type-C and QuickCharge 2.0 capability.

The Mi 4c even features an IR blaster, a very useful feature that Samsung took away on their high-end Note 5 for some unknown reason.

There will be two variants of the Mi 4c available at launch, both very reasonably priced. The 2 GB variant with 16 GB of on-board storage will retail for 1,299 Yuan ($204) while he 3 GB variant with 32 GB on-board storage will cost 1,499 Yuan ($235).

Xiaomi has also brought over their display technologies, including Sunlight Display and Night Mode to the Mi 4c. Currently this phone is only slated for release in China, with black, white, blue, pink and orange color variants available at launch.
