<!-- end left side bar --> <!-- story content : start --> A WOMAN was charged in court on Thursday with five counts each of corruption and computer misuse. Zaidah Bakri, 41, is said to have accessed the members' information in the computer system of Resort Condominiums International (RCI) Asia Pacific without its consent on five occasions between 2004 and 2005. RCI is in timeshare vacation exchanges.

She is also accused of corruptly accepting bribes totalling $23,000 from two men, Mr Jerry Tan Kim Huat and Mr Danny Liew Heap Hwa, to provide them lists containing the names and contact numbers of RCI members. At the time, she was employed by RCI Asia Pacific as a holiday guide.

She is out on $10,000 bail. Zaidah, who intends to engage a lawyer, will return to court on July 1. If convicted of computer misuse, she faces a fine of up to $5,000 or a jail term of up to two years or to both. For corruption, the maximum penalty is a $100,000 fine and five years' jail.
