Why I will continue to vote for PAP

PAP has done a good job so far, it's been 50 years and the results are plain to see.

Personally I grew up in a 1 room flat in blk 170 Toa Payoh, father is a hardcore criminal, social workers came to my HSE to ask why I didn't attend school when my parents didn't register. I flunked my O levels. Worked as a telephone operator, bell hop, sales assistant.
I took up a Diploma in Sales and Marketing with MIS 80% subsided by the govt, progressed in my sales assistant job to sales supervisor, branch manager.
Today I am a successful property agent. All this would not be possible for someone with no connections like me if not for the successful policies of PAP which allowed me to change my life when my attitude changed and was willing to work up and upgrade at the age of 23.

Recently in the past 10 years, there were things that needed addressing and I am happy that PAP is showing signs that they are willing to listen and willing to modify.

This is one case where the PAP has luckily been given undeserved credit and one lucky undeserved vote.

If we had a Barisan government, he will get a 2-room flat today but at least he won't need to pay through his nose and wait for BTO to complete which resulted in more and more husbands and wives staying separately (which the PAP govt chooses to keep quiet about it and not tell you).

Since Barisan may come to the realization about creative learning earlier, he may not flunk his O Levels and can find a better job. Maybe he won't be a property agent earning more. But someone in the right mind will not thank the PAP for causing you to fail and become a better person. If that is so, then I will take my chance with WP that may ruin the country and ruin me but I come out stronger too.

Becos there are generally 2 types of those scholars:

1. those that are from humble backgrounds who feel they have too much to lose by posting, or at least by posting too much such that they can be identified.

2. those that are from elite backgrounds who either can't be bothered to post, have been told they cannot post, or do not even realise their "success" since they were born with silver spoons in the first place.

Why I continue to vote PAP.

Long time ago, no casino and no resort. Now, got casino and resort integrated.
Last time, my house is a rental Chinatown shophouse bedsit, soon it will be a luxury condo.
My car used to be a Datsun 120Y where the steering go everywhere, now my BMW show me the surroundings when I am parking.
There was a time I can only afford one wife, now my mistresses I lost count.
My workers were grumpy expensive Singaporeans, now they are replaced with cheap hardworking foreigners.
I cannot keep long hair, now I can keep them longer than Kitaro, even though I have no more hair.

I will continue to vote PAP.

Rather it was your fucked up father that put the resolve into you to turn your life around. You would have done so even if you had been born in the slums of Calcutta.
