First and foremost, they will politicise the grassroots bodies (whether intentionally or not) and use it as an extension/arm of their political party.
Secondly, they can't be expected to act fairly and transparently with those who don't share their political beliefs or affiliations.
Thirdly, by being appointed as advisers, they will only serve to alienate further those who have opposing views; since grassroots bodies should ideally be apolitical, non-partisan and stay neutral.
Fourthly, it is sheer abuse of taxpayers' money to use the grassroots bodies for their political self interests.
Last but not least, it is also utterly disrespectful and high-handed to appoint losing government candidates as advisers over and above the duly elected MPs. It makes a mockery of the entire parliamentary elections where MPs are elected to represent their electorate not just in Parliament but also in their own backyards.
Acceptable?
