SINGAPORE: Following the close of nomination proceedings on Tuesday (Sep 1), representatives from the ruling People’s Action Party (PAP) and five Opposition parties will appear on two "live" political forums later in the evening.
The English- and Chinese-language forums will involve the representatives discussing questions submitted by the public and curated by Channel NewsAsia. In the English-language forum, the parties will be allotted time to state their positions, followed by a question-and-answer segment. The opposition parties will get half of the airtime, while PAP gets the other half.
The following party representatives will appear on the English-language forum, which will be simulcast “live” from 8 to 9pm on Channel NewsAsia and Channel 5:
Mr Lawrence Wong, PAP
Ms Denise Phua, PAP
Mr Leon Perera, the Workers’ Party (WP)
Mr Lim Tean, National Solidarity Party (NSP)
Mr Kenneth Jeyaretnam, the Reform Party (RP)
Mr Chee Soon Juan, Singapore Democratic Party (SDP)
Mr Tan Jee Say, Singaporeans First (SingFirst)
The best speaker I believe is Mr Lim Tean from NSP.
The speaker who kana cut short is Mr Tan Jee Say, Singaporeans First (SingFirst)
The speaker with the fasting train is Ms Denise Phua, PAP
The most cool, calm and collected speaker is Mr Lawrence Wong -the longest time given to express himself
The rest are just quickly finished your lines and then cut off time bangs in.
