Unemployed man jailed four weeks for attacking cabby

AN UNEMPLOYED man was jailed for four weeks on Wednesday for assaulting a taxi driver.
Kelvin Ong Tong Lee, 28, was also ordered to pay $100 compensation to the victim, Mr Ong Boon Lai, 62, whom he had punched and kicked along Petir Road at about 4am on Jan 29 this year.
The court heard that Ong was drunk when he and an unidentified male friend hailed and boarded Mr Ong's cab.
Along the way to Petir Road, Ong vomited in a plastic bag.
