Two loanshark runners arrested
POLICE arrested two male Chinese subjects for suspected involvement in loansharking activities on Wednesday.
The duo aged 24 and 27 years were nabbed in the vicinity of Tampines Street 33.
Police officers found loanshark-related paraphernalia on the two suspects such as tins of paint, superglue and markers.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects are debtors-turned-runners who are also believed to be responsible for a series of islandwide loanshark harassment cases.
Both suspects will be charged in Court on Thursday under the Moneylenders Act.
