Two jailed for disposing of $1.4m stolen goods

TWO men were each jailed for two years on Friday for dishonestly receiving $1.4 million worth of stolen electronic devices and helping to dispose of them.
Ong Su Ping, 33, co-owner of a mobile phone shop, and freelance courier Lee Peng Chou, 33, had admitted to four charges each with several other charges taken into consideration.
A district court heard that a shipment of 2,854kg of Apple products was found missing from the dnata warehouse at Changi Aifreight Centre last September. They comprised 1,930 iPads, 1,464 iPhones and 1,000 pieces of casings, cables and accessories.
Investigation showed that in early September, Eric Ong Chip Siong, 30, approached Lee and sought his help to resell the electronic devices
