SINGAPORE : The police have arrested two men aged 16 and 27 for suspected involvement in loansharking harassment.
The 16-year-old was caught at Ang Mio Kio Avenue 4.
A bicycle lock, bank account passbook and handphone were seized from his home.
Police said initial investigations revealed that the suspect had carried out acts of loanshark harassment in Yishun, Sembawang and Woodlands by splashing paint and locking debtors' units.
The other suspect was arrested at a road block along Ang Mo Kio Ave 1 on Wednesday morning after they observed paint stains on the man's hands and toes.
Loanshark-related paraphernalia such as chains, paint, markers, gloves and note books with suspected debtors' records were recovered from his vehicle and seized as case exhibits.
Investigations revealed that the suspect had committed loanshark harassment at Ang Mo Kio estates by scrawling loanshark-related graffiti.
The suspects will be charged in court on Friday. - CNA /ls
