Three arrested for suspected armed robbery at Penjuru Walk

SINGAPORE: The Singapore Police Force (SPF) said on Tuesday (Sep 23) that three male suspects, aged between 24 and 41, had been arrested for their alleged involvement in a case of robbery with hurt which occurred along Penjuru Walk.
SPF said they received a report on Sep 20 that a 24-year-old male was assaulted and robbed of cash amounting to S$7,400 by a group of unknown male suspects.
Upon receiving the report, officers from Clementi Police Division conducted ground enquiries, establishing the identities of the suspects. SPF said three suspects were arrested on Sep 22, and about S$940 was seized.
All three suspects will be charged in Court on Sep 24, said SPF. If convicted, each face a jail term of no less than 5 years and not more than 20 years, and not less than 12 strokes of the cane. - CNA/do
