<!-- story content : start --> POLICE arrested 138 people in another 13-hour multi-agency operation through Geylang which ended early on Sunday morning. The arrests were made for various criminal offences including gang-related activities, immigration offences, illegal employment, peddling of contraband cigarettes and vice-related activities. The operation was carried out at entertainment outlets, back lanes, lodging houses and along the streets in Geylang.Criminal Investigation Department director Ng Boon Gay said of the second such operation in three days: 'We will not tolerate illicit activities on our streets,' and added that 'the police will continue to exert pressure on these criminal elements.' Investigations into the arrests are ongoing.
