"I have written to the HDB Bedok branch office on three occasions, twice in the middle of 2013 and the third time towards the end of 2014 suggesting the construction of a multi-storey carpark to replace the existing heavy vehicle carpark, CP B46. The multi-storey carpark can come in the form of heavy vehicle parking facilities at the ground floor and normal parking lots above the ground floor, akin to the multi-storey carpark located at Block 848A, Yishun Street 81. This, I hope would be a win-win situation for the HDB in their administration of the site as well as for the residents, stallholders and patrons of the market and food centre. Additional carpark lots will also alleviate the parking issues faced by residents staying in the Block 544 to 547 Bedok North Street 3 cluster." - Muhamad Faisal Abdul Manap

"I would like to suggest that HDB work towards adopting a standardized measure in dealing with the aforementioned issues. First, to allow all Class 3 passenger vans to park at any HDB residential carpark as long as it could fit within the standard car lot. Second, to apply the parking rates in accordance to the carpark ascribed to the vehicle. "Yesterday in Straits Times, an article titled, ‘Pigeon problem ruffles feathers’ reported an increase in complains on pigeon related nuisance. That is, 1420 cases in year 2012, 2080 in 2013 and 2490 in 2014. In view of the increase in such complaints, what else can AVA or MND do to assist? As 65% of motorcycles registered in 2013 and 2014 are not exceeding 200cc, it can be estimated that the D1 category will have a quota of 1,111 total COEs for the months of February to April 2015. This is equivalent to Category C for goods vehicles and the open Category E, so we should not see price volatility for Class 2B riders and the riders can be protected from higher bids by Class 2 riders.

"Despite the best efforts of residents and NEA officers to do source eradication, the spread of dengue has persisted. Ministry of Health data shows the total number of reported cases of dengue in 2014 was 18,315. This was down from the 2013 figure of 22,101. However, both 2013 and 2014 figures were a massive jump from 2012 where only 4,602 dengue cases were reported. In the first 7 weeks of 2015 alone, there were 1,468 reported cases of dengue.
