Teen rapist charged

SINGAPORE: A teenager was charged in court on Monday with raping a girl when he was just 16 years old.
Ramdan Abu, who is now 17 years old, is believed to have raped the girl between 5pm on 21 April last year, and midnight the next day.
The jobless teenager allegedly raped his 14-year-old victim in a lorry parked near the Kranji Camp in the Choa Chu Kang area.
Ramdan will be back in court next Monday.
If convicted of rape, he can be jailed up to 20 years and fined or caned.
