New service provider for Aljunied-Hougang Town Council
SINGAPORE: Residents in estates managed by the Aljunied-Hougang Town Council will have a new service provider from October.
The current service providers for various maintenance matters will continue to fulfill their contracts until the end of September.
In a letter to all residents from the town council, its Chairman and MP for Aljunied GRC, Ms Sylvia Lim said several transfers of management will take place from August 1.
Estates in the former Aljunied-Hougang division will be partly handed over to the Ang Mo Kio Town Council and the Pasir Ris-Punggol Town Council.
Those in the Kaki Bukit division, which were under Marine Parade Town Council, will be taken over by the Aljunied-Hougang Town Council.
Ms Lim said the service and conservancy charges remain unchanged until further notice.
The town council has also embarked on several community engagement projects.
One is an application for iPhone users called eLink@Aljunied-Hougang for residents to play a part in managing their estates.
Residents can send photographs and feedback to the town council.
The town council is also asking residents to submit their design of the Aljunied-Hougang Town Council Logo, from now till July 31.
The contest is open to all Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents in other constituencies.
