SINGAPORE: Police have arrested a 27-year-old man who is believed to have molested a 14-year-old girl in a park at Woodlands.

The man had approached the victim on Tuesday evening and had asked her to follow him on the pretext that she had committed a crime.

He then brought her to a secluded area in the park and took the opportunity to molest her when they were alone.

The suspect then fled.

The man was arrested at about 5.30am on Wednesday.

The suspect will be charged on Thursday in court with outrage of modesty.

If convicted, he could be jailed for up to 10 years and fined.
