After sifting through all the threads here, bemoaning the woes of life and the economy, perhaps the best solution I can have for fellow Singaporeans is to now actively support the government of Singapore! Your active participation in the activities/policies of the government of Singapore, will make you a better person and is an endorsement of Singapore. Ask not your government can do for you, ask what you can do for your country! Singapore wants you!

Much as I am tickled by the rallying. However in these bad times, please do not help out the poor else we will have to go through another round of GST increase as if the situaion are not bad as it is right now. We are still trying to digest the electricity tariff increase for your information.

Oh, I expect rallying call such as bite the bullet or take bitter medicine to come on in the next few weeks or if not from Div 1. Neverthess, the one that takes the cake is : Retrenchment is good for Singapore, somebody is worried if there is no retrenchment.

Anybody out there got any other rallying call to add on.......

Support them? You dumb or what? We should fire all these incompetent fools! Re-employ or re-elect really able working people that cost not as much. Only a fool will support another fool to do the same job which he failed.

I had done everythings possible for my country. I had served in the Army for 2.5 years of my life, getting only $340 monthly. I forgo my career and family for ICT for 20+ days annually. I have contribute to the economy by have an empolyment. I have paid my taxes and try my best to be a law abiding citizen.

what had the govt done for me? provide me with "subsidised housing" that will take my wife and me to paid instalments for 30years. The funny thing was i am only "leasing" it for 99years despite it paying a huge sum for it. The Govt care for me by giving me $150 rebate for my Utilities bill but yet increase the price of electricity by 22%. Govt built a "world class" transport system but keep increasing the fare despite record profit every year. Govt give me a huge sum of $200 but increase GST to 7%

And how are your owners still benefitting and how have the Peasants been subjected to continued exploitation bordering blatant daylight robbery during the bad times? The best thing Sporns can ever do in their wretched lives is to kick out your owners and bring them to justice.
