Singaporean sued over gambling debt
A SINGAPOREAN who lost S$1.8mil (RM4.14mil) in gambling at two casinos in Singapore for three days and nights is being sued for S$240,000 (RM574, 819).
Sin Chew Daily, which identified the man as Ong Boon Lin, the son of a nasi lemak chain-stall owner, quoted him as saying that he was not a gambler until he visited the casino with his friends.
It reported that Marina Bay Sands Casino resorted to court action after it failed to obtain the money from Ong.
