SINGAPORE: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says its Consulate-General in Johor Bahru is working closely with the Malaysian police on a case involving an elderly Singaporean man who was found dead near his farm.
The MFA is also in touch with the man's family to provide consular assistance.
Chew Khoon, 82, had been missing for more than a month.
According to volunteer organisation Crime Library, Mr Chew had not come home after his usual daily drive to his farm near Johor Baru on May 3.
On Sunday, his family received a call from a neighbour in Johor Bahru saying that a decomposed body had been found.
Mr Chew's sons identified his body from the clothes he was wearing.
