Condom Campus Poll Rings Safe-sex Alarm
One in five students of the Chinese University of Hong Kong had sex on campus and in nearly half of the cases condoms
were not used. So say its students' union and Okamoto Industries, a condom supplier, after polling 1,175 students in
February and March.
Of the 21 percent who admitted to having sex, 40 percent did so without using condoms. About 66 percent of the
respondents wanted condom-dispensing machines to be installed on campus.
The survey also showed that 39 percent of the respondents had sex before the age of 24 and 17 percent at or before
reaching 18.
