Really? Many Hongkies are thankful to the British to you know. They were glad the Opium War happened and they love British rule.

Well, in general I think HK under British rule was much better than under Chinese rule,,,however HK is dependent on the Chinese economy so they are in a bind arent they? but in general, even in HK now, they have more freedom than singapore,,,at least they protest against GST as compared to singapore,,we get increased GST 'to help the poor'..even a ridiculous statement like that can be said by gahmen ministers and get away with it,,,that is singapore,,,

Hongkong has never enjoyed a day of independence in recent history. They are used to being slaves of the greater empire ( Chinese, British )

Taiwan is different. I wouldn't even use the word de facto. Taiwan has been a independent state from 1949 when Republic of China govt relocated to the island. Taiwan is a sovereign state whose official name is Republic of China.

Different my dick. From the first day, Hong Kong like Taiwan is a part of China. There is no such thing as independence. It is like asking the port of Qingdao to be a foreign port just because it was in German hands before.

Taiwan? Independent? Don't be a joke. How many countries in the world including the USA really recognized Taiwan as a sovereign state either? Taiwan being an "independent state" is just being a renegade province. Also, in the 70s Taiwan walked out of the UN when China took up a permanent seat and US and Japan their colonial master recognized the sovereignty of China over Taiwan. Now these comedians want to crawl back to the UN. What a joke! Look at their parliamentary discussions too for some extras.

If you like to join those traitors and you like Taiwan so much, then crawl there and beg their embassy for residency. In the end, when China decides to unite all Chinese provinces including Taiwan as one, it shall be so and you, together with the traitorous pan-green offsprings of Satan who chose to forget and spit on the land of your ancestors will not only be unable to stop it but also, be severely punished like the dogs that you are!

You stupid bastard splittist fuck. Spastic dog.

Hong Kong is a small province of China, and is a small state, so what can it do? Sure, you say Hongkies have more freedom, yes, freedom to criticize, insult everything that moves and discriminate too, even against Chinese from other dialect groups.

Do you know how crowded and complicated their "liberal" society is? The air is dirty, the people are ruder than already rude Sporn fucks, English literacy is low, property prices are overly exaggerated, a parking lot can cost you a fortune and disgusting Cantonese is mainly spoken everywhere (unlike Singapore where you can hear people speak various dialects without fear as equal human beings).

Also, since the glorious days of British rule you can see triads openly hacking people to death next to you when you are just peaceably eating in a restaurant with your friends or family, and when a movie director wants to take a shot in a chosen area, he and the crew would be stopped from filming by that area's triads unless they give them some money beforehand.

The British Navy and Army could have done a complete genocide on these pirates and gangsters (like Mussolini almost achieved against the Italian Mafia - and ain't the British so proud of their Royal Navy?) when they knew about the situation but, they chose to do jack squat about it instead, and in later years some of them even collaborated with these people in pocketing dirty money to furnish their lavish retirements back in England (see Andy Lau's Lee Rock movie for such an example).

If you want all those that comes with your cherish Western ideas of absolute liberty then by all means, take up residency there. Just like I told a dog Sideswipe to take up Taiwanese residency since he enjoys seeing China being carved up.

you so angry for what...

How many countries in the world including the USA really recognized Republic of China as a sovereign state either? The answer is 20. 180 countries recognized the People Republic. But this is just a number game. Republic of China or Taiwan is clearly a sovereign state.

I don't know if you man or woman but this is a example.
If you are a man then
When everyone in the world call you a woman and not a man. So are you a woman? Does that meant that if everyone call you a woman then you are a woman. OF course not, you are a man no matter what peoples say. And this is my point, ROC is still a sovereign state no matter how few countries recognized them.

I don't understand any Cantonese so sadly no matter how nice the song, I wouldn't enjoy it like a Mandarin or Hokkien song.

Ok, I sing one ho boh?

Kan Ni Lau Bu CCB
Kan Ni Lau Bu A CCB
Kan Ni Ka Ni Lau Bu CCB
Wah Kan Ni Lau Bu CCB.

追求三部曲 This is a very interesting song by Sam. Is a Cantonese song, but not 100% Cantonese. It is mixed with "Say Yap", a form of dialect very close to the Guangzhou Cantonese (the one that we all speak)! My grandma speaks "Say Yap"!

Can't find the MTV or the song on youtube. This is what I can find!
