It doesn't matter. Its an apple to apple comparison against each country at the same time. Its looks like you real don't know what you are talking about.

I gave you the link of per capita GDP based on PPP.
BTW, do you really think the USD will strengthen. you are really dumb aren't you?

Great, a strong SGD makes us richer then.

If the Chinese agree, why not?

And you don't seem to know what is PPP.

Your reply leaves me laughing out loud. Fine say the US$ sinks further and the S$ hits parity! The MAS will be thrilled! Our Govt will dance with joy! Exports? Why worry! When half of Jurong closes, unemployment rises and FDI becomes zero, our economy crashes Singapore will be be "richer" according to you! Because according to you, A STRONG DOLLAR MEANS WE ARE BETTER OFF! WHEN THE WHOLE WORLD IS TRYING TO DEVALUE AND SINGAPORE HAS FAILED, WE ARE BETTER OFF! UNBELIEVABLE!

I knew there were stupid people in Singapoe, but buddy, you take the cake!

And the Chinese, yes, lets let them become completely capitalist! Yes the Communist government of China, according to you, will embrace unfettered capitalism and open their markets! And the next thing we know there will be free elections too in china! And pigs might fly!!

Kiana sounds like Lee Heisn Loong who has no clue running the country and create a mass of unnecessary problem for the whole population of sinkieland.

Pity the sinkies. But they deserve it for being ball-less, that is their retribution.

If we are the highest GDP per capital, it certainly does not translate to affordability and living index.

Much of the money are tax haven money who are parked in Singapore which is included in the GDP. It does not translate to the wealth of individual citizens.

Also, it includes all the revenues of bio tech.

As far as I can see, a very large number of Singaporeans are enjoying the good life so wealth can't just be restricted to a handful of "elites".

The queues for iPhones and iPads, the crowds at cafes, restaurants and clubs, the huge demand for COEs, the number of households with broadband etc all point to the fact that the robust and expanding economy are benefiting the majority of Singaporeans.

If things were as bad as many here try to portray, people wouldn't be spending money on mobile phones, broadband and eating out. They'd be cutting back as much as possible on this sort of unnecessary expenditure.

The problem with most Singaporeans is they don't know how lucky they are.

Knight Frank and Citi Private Bank expects Singapore to be richest in 2050 regardless of whether PAP is in power.
60.1%,be at ease,we are born to be top, with or without PAP,you can throw them into the dustbin now, don't worry too much.

This is cherry picking statistics. On most indexes, Qatar is no.1 with more than USD100k per capita. If we look at cities, which is what Singapore really is, we are not found on the top 10 or even in top 20.

I don't think you understand my post.
.

this Kinana is a great hypocrite.
in all his replies , he often quoted some nice reports boasting everything is beautiful and well.

he simply take the face value of the reports and used it to justify his reply.
deliberately ignoring other factors.
he assumed that others are too stupid to analysis.

You ingrates don't know how lucky you are to be living in Singapore, the country with the most iphones per capita in the world. It's all thanks to the PAP and their expert stewardship.

graduates without job , half the population consists of non local born sinkies , most menial jobs done by foreigners at very low pay ,
take 30 or more years to pay for a simply hdb flat , living hand to mouth , salary of the low income group stagnate while ceo getting millions in bonus ,
old people in their 70s have to work as table cleaners , toilet cleaners , some collecting card boards for a living , expensive utilities charges ,etc .

NOW DO YOU UNDERSTAND why sinkie are not as lucky as you said ?

stop your bullshit. in every country there are rich and poor. don't just mention the good things and use that to justify that it is a wonderful country.

you go to a casino and see money throwing around. so you concluded all sinkies are very rich.
you are just like kinana, deliberately citing the good things and ignoring the bad.
stop deceiving others with your twisted diversion.

Of course, taking into account Singapore as a money laundering hub certainly bring us up to that level of wealth. PAP certainly should be proud without a questioning Straits Times.

i am sure switzerland did not get rich exporting evian water

Singapore, the country with the most iphones per capita in the world.

this is not necessarily a good thing.

i would be prouder if singapore had the highest number of libraries per capita in the world than being no.1 in iphone penetration.

it only show that we are no.1 suckers who fall for all the tricks of marketing and advertising. it reflects a population who does not think, but only consumes.
