The loss of Punggol East will spark the realisation within the PAP they might actually lose in 2021.

Why do you hope to be wrong? I think that the PAP might not get more than 50%. But to lose to WP?

those additional 2.5% could be either a white or blue ticket. even as we split it down the middle, we're looking at a long night... counting agents had better keep vigilant and stay awake through out the whole darn process.

Anybody can elucidate what happens if there is a tie? What will be the tie-breaker?

If each of the 2 contenders get exactly the same number of votes after 2 recounts then the spoilt votes would be examined closely to break the tie.
